Monkeyglasses Rebranding
INTERNSHIP COMPANY
MONKEYGLASSES
TASK
Update the brand’s visual identity for their B2C launch.

ABOUT
Monkeyglasses is a Danish sustainable eyewear company. They offer a range of eyeglass and sunglasses frames made of recycled and biodegradable materials, with a zero waste policy and charity support. Up until 2019 their business has been focusing on B2B trade working with resellers and distributors on an international scale.
For their 10-year anniversary they wanted to venture into the B2C market as well and for that purpose they wanted to give their brand identity a refreshed look.

LOGO SPACING
As a first task we updated the logo to a more simplistic one giving it a new modern clean look. Also we did some spacing adjustments so the logo and tagline would be equally visible on different medias.

PATTERNS
We took advantage of the monkey head in the logo to create the ‘fifth element’ of the brand identity. Together with the outlines of the Monkeyglasses frames we made some colourful and funky patterns.

TYPOGRAPHY
Monkeyglasses had not set any strict rules about their typography, so after some testing and playing around we limited the many fonts they’ve been using to three ones that would be suitable for different purposes.
ICONS
Monkeyglasses wanted to reduce the text they’ve been using and add more visual communication for their consumers. Therefore we updated the design of some of their old icons and also created new ones that would be used as infographic on digital and physical channels.

PRINT MATERIALS

IMAGERY AND SOCIAL MEDIA
Another task for me was to take pictures of the new Monkeyglasses product collection called ‘Courage’. The pictures transformed into these social media posts.
